He who likes for his brother what he likes for himself

Praise be to Allah, we praise Him, we seek His help and we seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and our evil deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah (alone with no partners) and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. To proceed: (O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].) [Aal Imran: 102], (O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whomyou ask one another, and the wombs.Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.) [Al-Nisaa: 1], (O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.) [Al-Ahzaab: 70-71], to proceed:
The best book is the Book of Allah, the best way is the way of Muhammad. And the worst matter is innovations and every innovation is going-astray.
The slaves of the Most Merciful, a heart-felt worship fills pure hearts with life, ends problems, increases love and brings happiness. The belief of a slave is not complete without it.
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No one of you becomes a true believer until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself". This hadith has been narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
Allah is the greatest, contemplate his words: “What he likes for his brother”. This requires love and affection. The negation of belief is the negation of the required completeness of belief, not the negation of it in essence, e.g., the hadith: “there’s no prayer when the food is ready before you.”, i.e., prayer will not complete.
The slave of Allah, your loving for your brother what you love for yourself is of two grades:
First: Obligatory, this is concerning the religious matters. According to another hadith: “The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, none of you has believed until he loves for his brother what heloves for himself of goodness." This hadith has been transmitted by Ahmad and Nasai. Al-Albaani has declared it to be of Sahih grade. A Muslim must love for his Muslim brother doing the acts of obedience and avoiding the prohibited.Among its signs are: sincerity, absence of jealousy, propagation of goodness and praying for them.
The second grade: recommended: it’s related to the worldly matters because according preference regarding worldly matters is recommended. For example, a person is affluent, so he should love for his brother the same. [1]
Some scholars have declared it to be obligatory in absolute terms and did not give details. The obligation of loving the good for the Muslims includes religious and worldly matters.
The intention is that among all the characteristics of belief is that a believer should love for his believing brother what he loves for himself, and dislike for him what he dislikes for himself, as has been reported in the hadith: “Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever". (Narrated by Muslim). So, a disbeliever is pained by what pains his brother and is saddened by what saddens him. [2]
Dear friends, here’re some bright examples for you:
Ibn Abbas said: “I pass by a verse from the Book of Allah and wish that all people know about it what I know.”
Muhammad Bin Waasi’ offered a donkey to sell it, so a man said to him: do you like it for me? He said: had I liked, I would not have sold it! Rather, amazing things have been reported from this Imam regarding his love of good for others. He said to his son: as for your father, may Allah not multiply among Muslims like him; because he loves that they are better than him and loves for himself that he’s better than they’re in. All this is the result of having a heart completely safe from grudge and jealousy!
The slaves of Allah, people must be treated like they love to be treated. According to a hadith: "He who desires to be rescued from the fire of Hell and to enter Jannah, should die in a state of complete belief in Allah and the Last Day, and should do unto others what he wishes to be done unto him." This hadith has been narrated by Muslim. Linking it with belief in Allah and the Last day, salvation from the hell and entering into the Paradise proves that it’s necessary to treat others as you love to be treated.
It was said to Ahnaf Bin Qais: who you learnt tolerance from? He said: “from myself, when I disliked something from others, I would not do the same with anyone.”
May Allah benefit me and you from the Book and the Sunnah and the signs and wisdom they contain. Seek the forgiveness of Allah. He’s the All-Forgiving.

Second sermon

All praises be to Allah. To proceed:
Let’s come face to face with a few scenes from the realities of our life. They may open for us the doors to good.
When you drive your vehicle in a place and want to tread on a crowded road, will you not be happy with a man who’ll stand to clear the road for you to cross?! Of course, you’ll say: yes. So, do it with others too.
When you stop on a crossroad waiting for the vehicle to cross, but it turns right or left without using signal, will you not feel irritated?! So, use it before turning and don’t make others stop without any use.
If you want to purchase a car, house or gadget, will you not love that he informs you all the pros and cons in it?! Do it with others.
If you want to sell a thing, take reasonable profit which you might like as a buyer. If you’re in a crowded assembly, start making room for others if you can. In some washrooms, it’s written: leave the place as you like to see it.
If you’re asked about a proposer of marriage, inform justly and truly as you love to be informed if you’ve been proposed for a marriage.
While constructing a building, do not make it shorter than the setback registered with the municipality so that the house of your neighbour is not revealed violating his privacy.
Of course, you love to be forgiven by the people. So, forgive them. There’s no doubt that you love that people pray for you at your back, so pray for them at their back.
Cover the one who’ve slipped up as you love to be covered up if you slip up. Of course, you do not like that people backbite you. So, do not backbite your brother. If you come to know about a person that he defended your honour, you’ll love him. So, you also defend the honour of your brother.
Of course, you love a person a person who talks well, makes fine comments, wears a smiling and cheerful face and is recognised for his generosity and hospitality. So, treat others likewise.
No doubt, you become happy by looking at clean land surfaces and public gardens and places. So, make it a habit of yours and also inculcate this habit in your family and friends.
There’re some of the examples and there’re many such others. So, make it a way of realising perfect belief and closeness to the Most Merciful.
To conclude, each of us should judge himself upon this sentence: “he should come to the people in the way he likes thatothers come to him”, and he should keep himself in the place of the other person always.

Then, send out blessings and peace upon your prophet.
