الخُطبةُ الأولى

إِنَّ الحَمْدَ لِلهِ، نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ، وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ ونَتُوبُ إِلَيه، مَنْ يَهْدِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ.

 

أَمَّا بَعْدُ: فَأُوْصِيْكُمْ وَنَفْسِي بِتَقْوَى اللهِ، فَهِيَ جَالِبَةُ الخَيْرِ والبَرَكَةِ، وَدَافِعَةُ البَلَاءِ وَالهَلَكَةِ! ﴿وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَى آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأرْضِ﴾.

I advise you and myself to observe Taqwa, as it brings about goodness and blessings, and serves as a shield against afflictions and destruction. Allah said: 'And if the people of the towns had believed and been conscious of Allah, We would have opened to them blessings from the heavens and the earth.'

 

عِبَادَ الله: إنَّ البَرَكَة هي السِّرُّ الإِلَهِيُّ، واللُّطْفُ الرَّبَّاني، مَا نَزَلَتْ في قَلِيلٍ إِلَّا كَثَّرَتْه، وَمَا نُزِعَتْ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ إلا مَحَقَتْه!

Servants of Allah: Indeed, Barakah (blessing) is the divine secret and the Lordly kindness. It has not descended upon a little except that it increased it, and it has not been taken away from much except that it diminished it!

 

والبَرَكَة: هِيَ ثُبُوْتُ الخَيرِ في الشَّيءِ، وَدَوَامُه، وزيادَتُه.

And Barakah, blessing is the constancy of goodness in a thing, its continuity, and its increase.

 

والبَرَكَةُ مِنَ الله، فَهُوَ الَّذِي يُبَارِكُ وَحْدَهُ؛ وَإِثْبَاتُ البَرَكَةِ في أَمْرٍ؛ مَوْقُوْفٌ على الدَّلِيلِ! ﴿وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا﴾.

And blessing is from Allah alone; He is the one who bestows it. The confirmation of blessing in a matter is dependent on evidence. 'And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it.

 

والقُرْآنُ الكَرِيْمُ: مَنْبَعُ البَرَكَاتِ، ومُسْتَوْدَعُ الحَسَنَاتِ والرَّحَمَاتِ! ﴿وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴾، و(سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِ: أَخْذُهَا بَرَكَةٌ، وتَرْكُهَا حَسْرَةٌ).

The Noble Quran is the source of blessings, the repository of goodness and mercy! Allah says: 'And this is a Book We have revealed, blessed, so follow it and fear [God] that you may receive mercy.' And (In Surah Al-Baqarah, holding onto it brings blessings, and abandoning it leads to loss).

 

 

ومَا زَاحَمَ القُرْآنُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا بَارَكَهُ! قال أَحَدُ السَّلَف: (كُلَّمَا زَادَحِزْبِي مِنَ القُرْآن؛ زَادَت البَرَكَةُ في وَقْتِي!).

The Quran has not overwhelmed anything without blessing it! One of the early Imamms said: 'Whenever my portion of the Quran increased, my time witnessed an increase in blessings!

 

وَمِنْ أَسبَابِ البَرَكَة: الصِّدْقُ والأَمَانَةُ! قال ﷺ: (البَيِّعَانِ بِالخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا، فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا؛ بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِي بَيْعِهِمَا، وَإِنْ كَتَمَا وَكَذَبَا؛ مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا).

And among the causes of blessings are truthfulness and trustworthiness! The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'The two parties in a transaction have the option [of canceling it] until they separate, and if they are truthful and make clear the defects of the goods, then they will be blessed in their transaction. But if they tell lies and conceal the defects, the blessing of their transaction will be eliminated.'

 

والأَدَبُ النَّبَويُّ في الطَّعَام؛ سَبَبٌ لِبَرَكَتِه؛ قال ﷺ: (اجْتَمِعُوا على طَعَامِكُمْ، وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيه؛ يُبارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيْه).

The prophetic etiquette in eating is a reason for its blessings. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Gather around your food, and mention the name of Allah upon it; it will be blessed for you.'

 

وفي الحديث: (إنَّ الْبَرَكَةَ تَنْزِلُ وَسَطَ الطَّعَامِ؛ فَكُلُوا مِنْ حَافَّتَيْهِ،وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِنْ وَسَطِهِ). قال شُرَّاحُ الحَدِيْث: (فِيهِ مَشْرُوعِيَّةُ الْأَكْلِ مِنْ جَوَانِبِ الطَّعَامِ قَبْلَ وَسَطِهِ، فَإِذَا حَمَلَهُ الْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْأَكْلِ مِنْه؛ فَيَنْقَطِعُ الخَيْرُ وَالْبَرَكَةُ، فَإِنَّ الْحِرْصَ شُؤْمٌ، وَالْحَرِيصُ مَحْرُومٌ!).

And in the hadith: 'Verily, blessing descends in the middle of the food, so eat from its sides and do not eat from its middle.' The commentators on the hadith said: 'This indicates the legitimacy of eating from the sides of the food before its middle. If one's eagerness leads him to eat from the middle, then the goodness and blessing are cut off. Eagerness is detrimental, and the greedy person is deprived!'

 

وَالتَّحَصُّنُ بِالأَدْعِيَةِ والأَذْكَارِ؛ سَبَبٌ لِلْحِفْظِ وَالبَرَكَةِ! قال العُلَمَاء: (كُلَّما كانَ الإِنْسَانُ -حالَ الذِّكْرِ-: حَاضِرَ القَلْبَ،مُتَدَبِّرًا لما يَقُوْلُ؛ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا، وَأَكْثَرَ بَرَكَةً،وَأَقْرَبَ لِلْإِجَابَةِ).

Seeking refuge through supplications and remembrances is a means of protection and blessing! The scholars have said: 'The more a person, during the act of remembrance, is present in heart, contemplating what he is saying, the greater the reward, the more abundant the blessing, and the closer to being answered’.

 

وَمِنْ أَسْبَابِ البَرَكَةِ: شُرْبُ زَمْزَم، قال ﷺ: (إِنَّهَا مُبَارَكَةٌ، وَهِيَ طَعَامُ طُعْمٍ، وَشِفَاءُ سُقْمٍ)، قال ابْنُ القَيِّم: (وَقَدْ جَرَّبْتُ مِنَ الِاسْتِشْفَاءِ بِمَاءِ زَمْزَمَ أُمُوْرًا عَجِيبَةً، وَشَاهَدْتُ مَنْ يَتَغَذَّى بِهِ مِنْ نِصْفِ الشَّهْرِ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ، وَلَا يَجِدُ جُوعًا!).

Among the reasons for blessings is drinking Zamzam water. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, it is blessed, and it is a food that satisfies and a cure for illness.' Ibn al-Qayyim said: 'I have experienced astonishing healing from Zamzam water, and I have witnessed people who nourish themselves with it for half a month or more without feeling hunger!

 

وَمِنْ أَسْبَابِ البَرَكة: التَّبْكِيْرُ أَوَّل النَّهَارِ؛ قال ﷺ: (اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْلِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا). وكانَ صَخْرٌ رضِيَ اللهُ عنه يَبْعَثُ تِجَارَتَهُ في أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ؛ فأَثْرَى وكَثُرَ مالُه!

And among the reasons for blessings is saying 'Takbir' (declaring the greatness of Allah) at the beginning of the day. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, bless my nation in their early mornings.' And Saqr, may Allah be pleased with him, used to send out his trade ventures early in the day, and as a result, his wealth increased and multiplied.

 

وَمِمَّا يَجْلِبُ البَرَكَة: الدُّعَاءُ؛ وَمِنْ دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: (وَبَارِكْ لي فِيْمَا أَعْطَيْتَ)، ودَعَا النبيُّ ﷺ لِـ(عُرْوَةَ) رضِيَ اللهُ عنه بالبَرَكَةِ في بَيْعِهِ؛ فَكَانَ لَوِ اشْتَرَى تُرَابًا لَرَبِحَ فِيهِ!

Among what brings blessings is supplication. One of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) supplications was: 'And bless me in what You have given me.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) also prayed for the blessing in the business of Urwah, may Allah be pleased with him. Consequently, if he had bought soil, he would have made a profit from it.

 

 

وَمِنْ أَسْبَابِ البَرَكَة: تَحَرِّيْ الحَلَال! (فَمَنْ يَأْخُذ مَالًا بِحَقِّهِ؛يُبَارَكْ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَمَنْ يَأْخُذ مَالًا بِغَيرِ حَقِّهِ: كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَلَا يَشْبَعُ).

And among the reasons for blessings is seeking what is lawful (halal). For whoever takes wealth rightfully, it will be blessed for him. But whoever takes wealth unlawfully, it is like someone who eats but is never satisfied.

 

والمَالُ الحَرَامُ؛ مَاحِقٌ لِلْبَرَكَةِ، جَالِبٌ لِلْهَلَكَةِ! قال عز وجل: ﴿يَمْحَقُ اللهُ الرِّبَا وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَاتِ﴾. وَالزَّكَاةُ وَالصَّدَقَةُ، سَبَبٌلِمُضَاعَفَةِ الحَسَنَاتِ، وَحُلُوْلِ البَرَكَاتِ! وقال تعالى: ﴿وَمَا آتَيْتُمْ مِنْ زَكَاةٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللهِ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُونَ﴾.

Wealth acquired through unlawful means is a cause for the absence of blessings and a bringer of destruction. Allah, the Almighty, has said: 'Allah destroys interest and gives increase for charities.' Zakat and charity are reasons for the multiplication of good deeds and the availability of blessings. Allah, the Exalted, also said: 'And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah. But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers.'

 

وَمِنْ أَسْبَابِ البَرَكَة: الرِّضَى والقَنَاعَةُ بِمَا قَسَمَ اللهُ؛ فـ(إنَّ اللهَ يَبْتَلِي عَبْدَهُ بِما أَعْطَاهُ: فَمَنْ رَضِيَ بِمَا قَسَمَ اللهُ لهُ؛ بارَكَ لهُ فيهِ ووسَّعَهُ، وَمَنْ لمْ يَرْضَ؛ لمْ يُبارِكْ لَهُ فِيهِ!).

Among the reasons for blessings is contentment and satisfaction with what Allah has decreed. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Indeed, Allah tests His servant with what He has given him. So whoever is pleased with what Allah has decreed for him, Allah will bless him in it and expand it for him. But whoever is not pleased, Allah will not bless him in it. '

وَمِنْ أَنْوَاعِ البَرَكَة: إِجْلَالُ الكِبَارِ في السِنِّ والعِلْمِ، وَالِاسْتِفَادَةُ مِنْ عِلْمِهِمْ وَتَجَارِبِهِمْ؛ قال ﷺ: (البَرَكَةُ مَعَأَكَابِرِكُمْ).

Among the types of blessings is showing reverence to the elderly in age and knowledge, and benefiting from their knowledge and experiences. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Blessings accompany your elders.

 

أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِي هَذَا، وَاسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ؛ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيم

 

الخُطبةُ الثانية

الحَمْدُ للهِ عَلَى إِحْسَانِه، والشُّكْرُ لَهُ عَلَى تَوْفِيْقِهِ وَامْتِنَانِه، وَأَشْهَدُ أَلَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُه.  

عِبَادَ الله: لَيْسَ الرِّزْقُ بِكَثْرَةِ الأَرْقَامِ، ولَيْسَ العُمُرُ بِكَثْرَةِ الأَعْوَامِ، وَلَكِنْ بِالبَرَكَةِ فِيْهِمَا؛ فَقَلِيلٌ مُبَارَك؛ خَيرٌ مِنْ كَثيرٍ مَنْزُوعِ البَرَكةِ!

قال I: ﴿قُلْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ﴾.

Servants of Allah, sustenance is not determined by the abundance of numbers, and life is not measured by the accumulation of years. Rather, it is through the blessing in both of them. A little that is blessed is better than much without blessings. Allah says: 'Say, 'The good and the bad are not equal, even if the abundance of the bad might impress you.'

هَذَا ، وَصَلُّوا وَسَلِّمُوا عَلَى نَبِيِّكُم كَمَا أَمَرَكُمْ بِذلِكَ رَبُّكُمْ، فَقَالَ: ﴿إِنَّ ٱللَّهَوَمَلَاَئِكَـتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيمًا﴾ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

* اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلامَ والمُسْلِمِينَ، وأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ والمُشْرِكِيْن.

* اللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ هَمَّ المَهْمُوْمِيْنَ، وَنَفِّسْ كَرْبَ المَكْرُوْبِين.

* اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ للمسلمين والمسلمات، الأحياءِ مِنْهُمْ والأموات.

* ﴿رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ﴾.

* عِبَادَ الله: ﴿إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ﴾.

* فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ، وَاشْكُرُوْهُ على نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ ﴿وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ﴾.
