The fatality of the sins

The fatality of the sins

All praises be to Allah, the One, the Compeller, the Mighty, the All-Forgiving. I bear witness that there’s no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Compeller. I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger, the true, honest and eloquent. He was sent with glad tiding and warning. May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, his family and companions till the nights are dark and the days are bright. To proceed:
I advise you, O’ slaves of the Most Merciful, and myself of having the fear of Allah: (And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged [i.e., treated unjustly].) [Al-Baqarah: 281]
Brothers in belief, Muslim transmitted in his Sahih from Al-Aghar Al-Muzani(May Allah be pleased with him) who narrated that:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Turn you people in repentance to Allah and beg pardon of Him. I turn to Him in repentance a hundred times a day".
Al-Aghar Al-Muzani narrated another hadith which is close to it in the meaning: He said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "It is a heavy thing for my heart if I do not seek Allah's forgiveness a hundred times a day." This hadith has been transmitted by Muslim.
Al-Nawawi said quoting from Al-Qadhi concerning the meaning of “Al-Ghayn”: “it’s said: it means the intervals and lapses from the remembrance of Allah, which he was used to. When he felt less intense about it or missed it, he considered it be a sin and sought forgiveness from it.” End of the quote.
When this was the condition of the prophet, we’re in more need of seeking forgiveness and repenting, as we’re sinners and negligent.
Brothers in Islam, the command to seek forgiveness is among the things which are agreed upon in the laws of the prophets. Suayb said to his nation: (And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Affectionate.") [Hud: 90]. Hud said to his nation: (And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength.) [Hud: 52]. Salih said to his nation: ("O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.") [Hud: 61]. Nuh said to his nation: ('Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.) [Nuh: 10-12]. Allah commanded his messenger Muhammad to say to his nation: ("Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings, And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor [i.e., reward].) [Hud: 2-3].
Slaves of the Most Merciful, we erase our sins through repenting and seeking forgiveness. We also protect ourselves through repenting and seeking forgiveness from the wrath and punishment of Allah. Allah, the Glorious said: (And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.) [Al-Shooraa: 30].
Allah, the Glorious further said: (Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned.) [Al-Rum: 41]. Allah, the Glorious said: (but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself.) [Al-Nisaa: 79]. Allah, the Exalted said: ([O Muḥammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful, And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.) [Al-Hijr: 49-50].
The slaves of the Most Merciful, sins have serious fatalities in this world and the hereafter. Among the fatalities of the sins in this world are:
It’s a reason of the hardness of the heart and the stain covering the heart; Allah, the Exalted said: (No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.) [Al-Mutaffifeen: 14]. Sometimes, it leads to the heart being sealed over, May Allah protect us! Allah, the Glorious said: (That if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear.) [Al-Aaraaf: 100].
Among its fatalities are:betrayal and deviating from the truth. Allah, the Glorious said: (And if they turn away - then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins.) [Al-Maaidah: 49].
Among the fatalities of the acts of disobedience are: hinger and lack of peace: (And Allah presents an example: a city [i.e., Makkah] which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing.) [Al-Nahl: 112].
Among its fatalities is: destructive punishments: (So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.) [Al-Ankaboot: 40]. Allah, the Glorious said: (Then, do those who have planned evil deeds feel secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them or that the punishment will not come upon them from where they do not perceive?) [Al-Nahl: 45]. It may fall all of a sudden: (And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord [i.e., the Qur’ān] before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive.) [Al-Zumar: 55].
Among the effects and fatalities of the sins is: imposing wrongdoers on one another: (And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn.) [Al-Anaam: 129].
Among its fatalities is: corrupted environment; Allah, the Glorious said: (Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He [i.e., Allah] may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].) [Al-Rum: 41].
Among the effects and fatalities of the sins is: paucity of blessing and scarcity of livelihood; Allah, the Glorious said: (And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant rain [i.e., provision].) [Al-Jinn: 16]. Allah, the Exalted said: (And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened [i.e., bestowed] upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth.) [Al-Aaraaf: 96].
As for the fatalities of the sins in the hereafter, it’s sufficient to say that it’s the cause of punishment in the grave and the hellfire, May Allah protect us. Allah said: (Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], He will be in a pleasant life. But as for one whose scales are light, His refuge1 will be an abyss. And what can make you know what that is? It is a Fire, intensely hot.) [Al-Qaariah: 6-11].
I cite here from the poem of the poet:
If sinner is not the one who admonishes the people
So, who’ll admonish the sinners after Muhammad

May Allah forgive me and you, accept my and your repentance, and cover me and you. He’s the All-forgiving, the One who accepts repentance, the One who covers and the Most Merciful.
****
All praises be to Allah who said: (But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.) [Taha: 82]. May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon our prophet, the seeker of the forgiveness, the repentant, and his family and companions. To proceed:
Among the tricks of Satan is that he incites us to commit acts of disobedience on the plea that Allah is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. Allah, the Glorious says: (And indeed, your Lord is the possessor of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.) [Al-Raad: 6].
The slave of Allah, when the soul says to you: Indeed, Allah is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. He’ll not punish you if you disobey Him. So, say: were our great parents, Adam and Eve not made to descend down from the Paradise, the home of delicacies and bounties but because they’d eaten from a tree?!
And say O’ soul: did you not know that when Yunus (Peace be upon him) came out and left his nation before Allah permitted him to do the same, his life was turned into a difficult one and even a fish gobbled him up. Then he repented and Allah accepted his repentance.
When the soul says to you: don’t be harsh with yourself. Don’t you see the perpetrators of major sins and the disbelievers revelling in affluence and health?! So, say: did you not hear the words of Allah: (And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon it [i.e., the earth] any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.) [Faatir: 45]. Did you not know the words of Allah: (Be not deceived by the [uninhibited] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land. [It is but] a small enjoyment; then their [final] refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.) [Aal-Imran: 196-197].
It’s narrated that Umar wrote to Saad Bin Abi Waqqas and the soldiers with him: “Do not say: our enemy is worse than us. So, it’ll not be imposed upon us, even if we committed bad acts. Sometimes, upon a nation is imposed a nation which is worse than the former, as the disbelieving Magians – when they did what displeased Allah – were imposed upon Bani Israil. So, they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled.” …
Abu Al-Dardaa said: “How low people become for Allah when they leave His command.”
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, accursed: (O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhapsyour Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right; they will say, "Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent.") [Al-Tahreem: 8].
Then, send out blessings and peace.
