Beware of Oppressing the creatures

Beware of Oppressing the creatures
All praises are due to Allah, the All-Knowing, the All-Aware, the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, the Judge, the Almighty. I bear witness that there’s no god but Allah alone. He’s no partner. The servants are not oppressed by Him even in the scale of the membrane of a date seed. I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger, the one who’s been bestowed with Fount and Intercession. Allah sent him with glad tiding and warning.
God wrote his remembrance on the minarets
It inspired great love in the hearts
Allah ordered the believers by saying
Send out peace and blessings on him
O’ Allah, shower blessings and peace on our prophet Muhamad, his family and all his companions. To proceed:
I advise you and myself of having the fear of Allah. Allah the Exalted said: (O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.) [al-Hajj: 1]
O’ my friends, a man was talking about the illness he was afflicted with during the days of Share Market Crash – a few years ago -. He was praising Allah on this illness as it put him away from the disaster of the wealth. He was praising Allah; because he saw his friends in the Share Market Hall losing a lot of wealth which drove him mad. He was even admitted into a Psychiatric hospital in Taif which was known as Shahar Hospital. This is the bankruptcy of this world. So, how enormous the bankruptcy of the hereafter will be! Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do you know who is the bankrupt?" They said: "The bankrupt among us is one who has neither money with him nor any property". He said, "The real bankrupt of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with Salat, Saum and Sadaqah (charity), (but he will find himself bankrupt on that day as he will have exhausted the good deeds) because he reviled others, brought calumny against others, unlawfully devoured the wealth of others, shed the blood of others and beat others; so, his good deeds would be credited to the account of those (who suffered at his hand). If his good deeds fall short to clear the account, their sins would be entered in his account and he would be thrown in the (Hell) Fire". This hadith has been transmitted by Muslim.
This hadith states the meaning of the real bankrupt, i.e., the one whose good deeds have been taken away by his creditors.
This hadith also makes it clear that the retaliation will apply to all good deeds until all of them are over, May Allah protect us!
Servants of Allah, rights of the servants of Allah are of a very serious nature. Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who has done a wrong affecting his brother's honour or anything else, let him ask his forgiveness today before the time (i.e., the Day of Resurrection) when he will have neither a dinar nor a dirham. If he has done some good deeds, a portion equal to his wrong doings will be subtracted from them; but if he has no good deeds, he will be burdened with the evil deeds of the one he had wronged in the same proportion". This hadith has been transmitted by al-Bukhari.
Brothers in Islam, oppressions are of diverse kinds. Ibn Rajab said: “The prohibited oppression affects the hearts sometimes, and the most severe kind of oppression is regarding the lives. Sometimes, it’s in property and sometimes in honours.”
Servants of Allah, the right of the oppressed does not get cancelled out by merely repenting. Rather, it’s necessary to seek the settlement and forgiveness from the oppressed person. A Muslim may be punished for doing wrong to a disbeliever or an animal. According to a hadith in Sahih Muslim: “Hell was also brought to me and I saw in it a woman belonging to the tribe of Israel who was tormented for a cat whom she had tied, but did not give it food nor set it free to eat the creatures of the earth.” According to another Marfu’ hadith in Sahih Bukhari: “If anyone kills a man who has made a covenant* he will not experience the fragrance of paradise, yet its odour can be experienced at a distance of forty years’ journey.”
According the hadith of retaliation for which Jabir Ibn Abdullah travelled to Abdullah Bin Unais in Syria for a month to hear it from him: 'Allah will gather His slaves -and he pointed with his hand towards Syria- naked, uncircumcised, without anything.' We asked, 'What is meant by "without anything"?' The Prophet said, 'They will have nothing with them.' (The Prophet went on,) 'They will be called by a voice that is heard from afar (and I think that he said, 'as if it was from close at hand'), saying, "I am the King. None of the people of the Garden will enter the Garden while any of the people of the Fire are seeking him for someinjustice he did to him. None of the people of the Fire will enter the Fire while any of the people of the Garden are seeking him for an injustice he did to him."' I asked, 'How is this? We come to Allah naked and without any worldly goods?' He said, 'This applies to good actions and evil actions.'" This hadith has been transmitted by Ahmad and al-Albaani has declared it to be of Sahih grade.
Therefore, a Muslim must compensate for the wrongs either directly or ask a wise person to compensate the oppressed person for the wrongs done to him and to seek his forgiveness. If the repentant is not able to cleanse himself from the rights of the oppressed – like not knowing the one with right or his death – he must do good deeds with the oppressed person, like praying for him, seeking forgiveness for him and doing charity on his behalf.
If someone slanders a Muslim man or woman in this world and the punishment of slander has not been applied to him or her, he’ll have its retaliation in the hereafter. Ikrima narrated that a man cooked food for Ibn Abbas, a slave-girl was working in their presence. One of them said to her, 'Harlot!' He said, 'Easy! If she does not exact the hadd punishment (i.e. for slander) from you in this world, she will take it from you in the Next World.' Al-Albaani has declared it to be of Sahih grade.
The virtues of the deeds, like prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, etc. erase only lesser sins, as per the majority of the scholars. They only erase sins related to the rights of Allah. As for the sins regarding the rights of the servants of Allah, they’re erased only by repenting. And one of the conditions of the repentance is to return the right to their rightful owner. May Allah benefit me and you from the Book and the Sunnah and from the guidance and wisdom they contain. Seek the forgiveness of Allah. He’s the Perpetual Forgiver.
All praises be to Allah, the One. Blessing and peace be upon His prophet and slave, and his family and companions, and after:
Indeed, the rights of the servants of Allah are great and serious. According to a hadith: “Every fault but a debt will be forgiven to a martyr.” This hadith has been transmitted by Muslim. Imagine that the testification of Allah’s Oneness and the prophethood of Muhammad erases liquor drinking, adultery, etc., but does not erase the rights of the people.
According to a hadith in Bukhari and Muslim, Abu Huraira narrated:When we conquered Khaibar, we gained neither gold nor silver as booty, but we gained cows, camels, goods and gardens. Then we departed with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to the valley of Al-Qira, and at that time Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had a slave called Mid`am who had been presented to him by one of Banu Ad-Dibbab. While the slave was dismounting the saddle of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) an arrow the thrower of which was unknown, came and hit him. The people said, "Congratulations to him for the martyrdom." Allah's Apostle said, "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, the sheet (of cloth) which he had taken (illegally) on the day of Khaibar from the booty before the distribution of the booty, has become a flame of Fire burning him." On hearing that, a man brought one or two leather straps of shoes to the Prophet and said, "These are things I took (illegally)." On that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "This is a strap, or these are two straps of Fire."
Servants of Allah, doing wrong to the people is a very serious matter. Al-Tabri said with regard to these verses of the Quran “On the Day a man will flee from his brother, And his mother and his father, And his wife and his children”: “they’ll run away from one another so that one does not demand from the other the rights and indemnities which they had among them.”
Think how the prophet (PBUH) informed about the perfect Justice of Allah. According to a hadith: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "On the Resurrection Day, the rights will be paid to those to whom they are due so much so that a hornless sheep will be retaliated for by punishing the horned sheep which broke its horns". This hadith has been transmitted by Muslim.
If this is the case with animals, what’ll be the case of those who have been charged with obligations. According to another hadith: “The creatures, animals, creeping animals, birds and all things will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection. The Justice of Allah will reach to the extent that He’ll take revenge for the hornless from the horned one. Then, He’ll say: turn into dust. This is when the disbeliever will say: Oh, I wish that I were dust!” (Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albaani)
I seek refuge in Allah from the Satan, accursed: (And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.) [al-Anbiyaa: 47].
Then, send out peace and blessings!
