الخُطْبَةُ الأُوْلى

إِنَّ الحَمْدَ لِلهِ، نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ، وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ ونَتُوبُ إِلَيه، مَنْ يَهْدِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ.

عِبَادَ الله: هَا هُوَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ قَدِ اضْمَحَلَّ هِلَالُهُ، وَقُوِّضَتْ خِيَامُهُ، فَمَنْ كانَ في شَهْرِهِ مُحْسِنًا؛ فَلْيُدَاوِمْ على إحْسَانِه! قال تعالى: ﴿وَلا تَكُونُوا كَالَّتِي نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِنْ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنْكَاثًا﴾.

O Muslims, the month of Ramadan has ended, so whoever was righteous in it, let them continue their righteousness! Allah says: "And be not like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong"

 

وَمَنْ كانَ مُقَصِّرًا في رَمَضَان؛ فَلْيُبَادِرْ بِالتَّوْبَةِ النَّصُوْحِ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُغْلَقَ البَابُ المَفْتُوح! قال تعالى: ﴿قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ الله﴾.

And for those who may have fallen short in Ramadan, let them hasten towards sincere repentance before the door, which is now open, is closed! Allah says: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah."

 

وَلَيْسَ لِلْطَّاعَةِ زَمَنٌ مَحْدُود، فَعِبَادَةُ اللهِ لا تَنْحَصِرُ في رَمَضَان، قال بَعضُهُم: (بِئْسَ القَوْمُ لا يَعْرِفُونَ للهِ حَقًّا إِلَّا في رَمَضَان! فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ لِعَمَلِ المُؤْمِنِ أَجَلًا دُوْنَ المَوْتِ).

The obedience to Allah is not limited to a specific time; the worship of Allah is not confined to Ramadan alone. Some of the scholars have said, "How unfortunate arethose who only recognize the rights of Allah in Ramadan! For Allah has not set a deadline for the deeds of a believer other than death."

 

وَلَيْسَ المَطْلُوْبُ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ: كَمَا كُنْتَ فِيهِ مِنَالاِجْتِهَادِ؛ بَلْ أَنْ تَكُونَ بَعْدَهُ خَيْرًا مِمَّا قَبْلَهُ! وَقَلِيْلٌثَابِتٌ؛ خَيْرٌ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ مُنْقَطِعٍ؛ قال ﷺ: (يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ، لاَ تَكُنْ مِثْلَ فُلاَنٍ؛ كَانَ يَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ، فَتَرَكَ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ!).

The goal is not to remain as you were during Ramadan; rather, it is to be better after it! A little consistency is better than sporadic abundance. The Prophet ﷺ said: "O servant of Allah, do not be like so-and-so who used to pray at night and then stopped praying at night!"

 

وَكَانَ السَّلَفُ الصَّالِحُ يَجْتَهِدُونَ في العَمَلِ في رَمَضَان، ثُمَّيَهْتَمُّونَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَبُوْلِهِ، وَيَخَافُونَ مِنْ رَدِّهِ وَحُبُوْطِهِ! قال تعالى: ﴿وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُوْنَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوْبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ﴾.

The righteous predecessors exerted themselves in deeds during Ramadan and then were concerned about their acceptance afterward, fearing rejection and loss of the rewards. Allah says: "And they give what they give while their hearts are fearful."

قالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: (أَهُمُ الَّذِينَ يَشْرَبُونَ الخَمْرَ وَيَسْرِقُونَ؟). قالﷺ: (لَا، يَا بِنْتَ الصِّدِّيقِ؛ وَلَكِنَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ يَصُومُونَ وَيُصَلُّونَوَيَتَصَدَّقُونَ، وَهُمْ يَخَافُونَ أَلَّا تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ!).  

Aisha asked, "Are they those who drink alcohol and steal?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No, O daughter of As-Siddiq, but they are those who fast, pray, and give charity while fearing that it will not be accepted from them."

قال بَعْضُ السَّلَفُ: (كَانُوا يَدْعُونَ اللهَ عزوجل سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍأَنْ يُبَلِّغَهُمْ رَمَضَان، ثُمَّ يَدْعُونَ اللهَ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ أَنْيَتَقَبَّلَهُ مِنْهُمْ).

Some of the predecessors used to supplicate to Allah for six months to reach Ramadan and then supplicate for six months for its acceptance.

 

وَالحِرْصُ عَلَى قَبُولِ العَمَلِ، أَهَمُّ مِنَ العَمَلِ! قال عليٌّ: (كُونُوا لِقَبُولِ الْعَمَلِ، أَشَدَّ اهْتِمَامًا مِنْكُمْ بِالْعَمَلِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُقْبَلَ عَمَلٌ إِلَّا مَعَ التَّقْوَى). قال تعالى: ﴿إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللهُ مِنَ المُتَّقِينَ﴾.

The eagerness for the acceptance of deeds is more important than the deeds themselves. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Be more concerned about the acceptance of your deeds than about the deeds themselves, for no deed is accepted without piety." Allah says: "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous."

وَالْمُؤمِنُ الصَّادِقُ: يُدَاوِمُ على الطَّاعَةِ بعدَ رَمَضَان؛ لأنَّ رَبَّ رَمَضَانَ؛هُوَ رَبُّ الشُّهُورِ كُلِّهَا! وَلَئِنِ انْتَهَى مَوْسِمُ رَمَضَانَ؛ فَبَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا مَوَاسِمُ مُتَعَدِّدَةٌ، وَفُرَصٌ مُتَوالِيَةٌ:

The true believer continues in obedience after Ramadan because the Lord of Ramadan is the Lord of all months! If Ramadan has ended, there are still numerous seasons and consecutive opportunities ahead of us.

 

فَالصَّلَوَاتُ الخَمْسُ: مَوْسِمٌ يَتَكَرَّرُ، وَنَهْرٌ جَارٍ عِنْدَ بَابِ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ!(يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ...يَمْحُو اللهُ بِهِنَّ الخَطَايَا).

The five daily prayers are a recurring season and a flowing river at the doorstep of every Muslim. "It washes away sins five times a day... Allah washes away sins through them"

 

وَقِيَامُ اللَّيلِ: هُوَ مُوْسِمُ المُتَّقِيْنَ كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ؛ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَنْزِلُ (كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا، حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ؛ فَيَقُولُ:مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ؟).

And the night prayer is the season of the righteous every night. For Allah descends (as narrated in a hadith) "To the lowest heaven in the last third of the night, asking, Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him?"

 

وَصَلاةُ الجُمُعَةِ، وَسَاعَةُ الإِجَابَةِ: مَوْسِمٌ يَتَكَرَّرُ كُلَّ أُسْبُوع!فَإِنَّ في الجُمُعَةِ (سَاعَةٌ لا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ...يَسْأَلُ اللهَشَيْئًا؛ إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ).

The Friday prayer and the hour of response are recurring seasons every week, as mentioned in the hadith, “there is an hour during which no Muslim slave coincides with it... he asks Allah for anything, except that Allah grants it to him”.

 

وَتُفْتَحُ أَبْوَابُ الجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الاثْنَيْنِ وَالخَمِيسِ؛ (فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، إِلَّا رَجُلًا كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ).

And the gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday. In a hadith, it is narrated that (forgiveness is granted to every slave who does not associate anything with Allah except for a man who has enmity between him and his brother).

 

وَمِنْ عَلامَاتِ قَبُولِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَان، المُدَاوَمَةُ عَلَى الطَّاعَاتِ؛ قال ابْنُ القَيِّم: (مِنْ عُقُوبَةِ السَّيِّئَةِ: السَّيِّئَةُ بَعْدَهَا، وَمِنْ ثَوَابِ الحَسَنَةِ: الحَسَنَةُ بَعْدَهَا).

Among the signs of the acceptance of Ramadan is the continuation of obedience. Ibn al-Qayyim said, "The punishment for a bad deed is the occurrence of another bad deed, and among the rewards for a good deed is another good deed."

 

وَمِنَ الحَسَنَاتِ الَّتِي تُفْعَلُ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ: صِيَامُ سِتٍّ مِنْشَوَّال؛ يَقُوْلُ ﷺ: (مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ، ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّال؛ كانَ كَصِيَامِ الدَّهْر!).

Among the good deeds to be performed after Ramadan is fasting six days of Shawwal. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime."

أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِي هَذَا، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ؛ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيم

 

الخُطْبَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ

الحَمْدُ للهِ عَلَى إِحْسَانِهِ، والشُّكْرُ لَهُ عَلَى تَوْفِيْقِهِ وَامْتِنَانِهِ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُه.

أَمَّا بَعْدُ: صِيَامُ السِتِّ مِنْ شَوَّال؛ مِنْ شُكْرِ اللهِ (الَّذِي أَعَانَهُ عَلَى إِتْمَامِ رَمَضَان).

O Muslims: Fasting six days of Shawwal is among the gratitude to Allah for His assistance in completing Ramadan.

وَصِيَامُ السِّتِّ بَعْدَ رَمَضَان؛ كَصَلَاةِ النَّافِلَةِ بَعْدَ الفَرِيْضَةِ، فَهِيَ تَجْبُرُ مَا حَصَلَ في رَمَضَانَ مِنْ خَلَلٍ وَنَقْصٍ؛ فَإِنَّ الفَرَائِضَ تُكَمَّلُ بِالنَّوَافِلِ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ.

Fasting six days of Shawwal after Ramadan is like the voluntary prayers after the obligatory prayers. It compensates for any shortcomings and deficiencies that occurred during Ramadan, as the obligations are completed with the voluntary acts on the Day of Judgment.

 

وَيَجُوزُ صِيَامُ السِّتِّ مِنْ شَوَال: في أَوَّلِ الشَّهْرِ أو وَسَطِهِ أو آخِرِهِ، مُتَتَابِعَةً أو مُتَفَرِّقَةً.

Fasting the six days of Shawwal is permissible at the beginning, middle, or end of the month, consecutively or separately.

 

وَمَنْ كانَ عَلَيهِ قَضَاءٌ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ؛ قَدَّمَ القَضَاءَ عَلى السِّتِ، ثُمَّ صَامَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ؛ لأَنَّ إبرَاءَ الذِّمَّةِ مِنْ الوَاجِبِ؛ أَولَى مِنْ فِعْلِ المَندُوب.

For those who have missed fasts from Ramadan, let them prioritize making up those fasts before fasting the six days of Shawwal, for fulfilling obligations takes precedence over voluntary acts.

 

فَاثْبُتُوا على الطَّاعَةِ، وَوَاظِبُوا على العِبَادَةِ، (وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَحَبَّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللهِ: أَدْوَمُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ).

Therefore, remain steadfast in obedience, be consistent in worship, in a hadith, it is narrated that (And know that the most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are few).

 

 

وَاحْذَرُوا التَّفْرِيْطَ في الوَاجِبَاتِ، وَالوُقُوْعَ في المُحَرَّمات، فَرَبُّ رَمَضَان، هُوَ رَبُّ الدَّهْرِ كُلِّهِ! قال ﷻ: ﴿فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ﴾.

Beware of neglecting obligations and falling into prohibitions, for the Lord of Ramadan is the Lord of all time! Allah commands, "So remain on a right course as you have been commanded."

 

وَاذْكُرُوا بِانْقِضَاءِ الشَّهْرِ؛ انْقِضَاءَ أَعْمَارِكُمْ؛ فَمَا حَيَاةُ أَحَدِنَا إِلَّا أَيَّامٌ فَتَنْتَهِي!

قال الحَسَنُ البَصْرِي: (ابْنَ آدَمَ، إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ أَيَّامٌ، كُلَّمَا ذَهَبَ يَوْمٌ؛ذَهَبَ بَعْضُكَ!).

And remember with the passing of the month, the passing of your lifespans; for the life of any of us is nothing but days that come to an end! Al-Hasan al-Basri said: 'O son of Adam, you are nothing but days. Every time a day passes, part of you is gone!'

 

فياعِبَادَ الله: لا تُوَدِّعُوا رَمَضَان، بَلِ اصْطَحِبُوهُ مَعَكُمْ إلى بَاقِي عَامِكُمْ، فَرَمَضَانُ لَيْسَ شَهْرًا فَقَط، بَلْ أُسْلُوْبُحَيَاة؛ فَالصَّوْمُ لا يَنْتَهِي، وَالقُرْآنُ لا يُهْجَر، والنَّوَافِلُ لا تُتْرَك!والمُؤْمِنُ لا يَنْقَطِعُ عَنِ العَمَلِ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الأَجَل! ﴿وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَحَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ اليَقِينُ﴾.

So, O servants of Allah, do not say goodbye to Ramadan, but rather take it with you into the rest of your year. For Ramadan is not just a month, but a way of life; fasting does not end, the Quran is not abandoned, and voluntary acts are not neglected! And the believer does not cease to act until death comes to him. Allah says, "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty [i.e., death]."

 

هَذَا ، وَصَلُّوا وَسَلِّمُوا عَلَى نَبِيِّكُم كَمَا أَمَرَكُمْ بِذلِكَرَبُّكُمْ، فَقَالَ: ﴿إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَاَئِكَـتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَىالنَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيْهِوَسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيمًا﴾

اللهُمَّ صَلِّ على محمَّدٍ وعلى آلِ محمَّدٍ، كما صليتَ على إبراهيمَ وعلى آلِ إبراهيمَ، إنك حميدٌ مجيدٌ، اللهُمَّ باركْ على محمَّدٍ وعلى آلِ محمَّدٍ، كما بارَكْتَ على إبراهيمَ وعلى آلِ إبراهيمَ، إنك حميدٌ مجيدٌ وسَلِّمْ تسليماً كثيراً.

* اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِمَّن خْتِمْ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ بِرِضْوَانِكِ، وَالعِتْقِ مِنْ نِيرانِكَ، وَاجْعَلْ مَوْعِدَنا بَحْبُوْحَةَ جِنَانِكَ.

* اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلامَ والمُسْلِمِينَ، وأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ والمُشْرِكِيْن.

* اللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ هَمَّ المَهْمُوْمِيْنَ، وَنَفِّسْ كَرْبَ المَكْرُوْبِين.

* عِبَادَ الله: ﴿إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ﴾.

* فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ، وَاشْكُرُوْهُ على نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ ﴿وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ﴾.
