الخُطْبَةُ الأُوْلَى

إِنَّ الحَمْدَ لِلهِ، نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ، وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ ونَتُوبُ إِلَيه، مَنْ يَهْدِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ.

أَمَّا بَعْدُ: فَأُوْصِيْكُمْ وَنَفْسِي بِتَقْوَى اللهِ: فَهِيَ سَبَبٌلِلْغُفْرَانِ، وَمَحَبَّةِ الرَّحْمَنِ! ﴿فَإِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ المُتَّقِينَ﴾.

After this, I advise you and myself to observe the Taqwaof Allah, as it is a means of forgiveness and the love of the Most Merciful. 'Indeed, Allah loves those who are mindful [of Him].'" (Quran, 9:4)

 

أَيُّهَا المُسْلِمُون: يُبَشِّرُ اللهُ عِبَادَهُ المُؤْمِنِينَ: بِالعُلُوِّ وَالتَّمْكِين، مَا دَامُوا مُتَمَسِّكِيْنَ: بِالإِيْمَانِ واليَقِين! قال تعالى: ﴿وَلاَ تَهِنُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ﴾. قال بَعضُالمُفَسِّرِيْن: (أَيْ أَنْتُمْ الأَعْلَوْنَ شَأْناً؛ لِأَنَّ قِتَالَكُمْ للهِ،وَقِتَالهم لِلشَّيْطَان! وَلِأَنَّ قَتْلَاكُمْ في الجَنَّةِ، وَقَتْلَاهُمْفي النَّارِ! وَلِأَنَّكُمْ تَرْجُونَ مِنَ اللهِ مَا لَا يَرْجُونَ؛ فمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا: فَإِنَّهُ الأَعْلَى بِنَصِّ القُرْآنِ!).

O Muslims! Allah gives glad tidings to His believing servants of elevation and empowerment as long as they steadfastly hold onto faith and certainty. Allah says, 'So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.' (Quran, 3:139) Some interpreters mention that 'you will be superior' means that you will have a higher status because your struggle is for the sake of Allah, while their struggle is for the sake of Satan. Also, because your killing results in entering Paradise, while their killing results in entering the Fire. Moreover, you hope for things from Allah that they do not hope for. Therefore, whoever is a believer is indeed superior, as indicated by the clear verses of the Quran."

 

وَالمُسْلِمُونَ هُمُ أَعْلَى الأُمَمِ: عَقِيْدَةً، وشَرِيْعَةً، وَهَدَفًا وَغَايةً! قال تعالى: ﴿كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ﴾.

And the Muslims are the highest among nations in creed, law, purpose, and goal. Allah says, 'You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind.' (Quran, 3:110)"

 

 

 

وَالمُسْلِمُونَ هُمُ الأَعْلَى: قُوَّةً، وَثَبَاتًا؛ لِأَنَّ مَعَهُمْ قُوَّةُ اللهِ وَمَعِيَّتُهُ! قال تعالى: ﴿وَأَنْتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ وَاللهُ مَعَكُمْ﴾. قال الطبري: (أي: وَأَنْتُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ آخِرَ الأَمْرِ، وَإِنْ غَلَبُوكُمْ فِي بَعضِ الأَوقَاتِ، وَقَهَرُوكُم في بَعضِ الحُرُوبِ).

The Muslims are superior in strength and steadfastness because they have the strength and support of Allah. Allah says, 'And you are superior, and Allah is with you.' (Quran, 47:35)" Al-Tabari commented, "Meaning, you are the ultimate victors in the end, even if they may overcome you in some instances or dominate you in some battles."

 

والإِسلامُ يَعْلُو وَلا يُعْلَى عَلَيْه؛ فَكُلُّ مَنْ لَهُ عَقْلٌ وَإِنْصَافٌ؛ فَلَا بُدَّ أَنْ يَخْتَارَ الإِسلامَ، على غَيرِهِ مِنَ الأَديَانِ! قال تعالى: ﴿هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالهُدَى وَدِينِ الحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ﴾. قال السِّعْدِي: (أَيْ: لِيُعْلِيَهُ على سَائِرِ الأَديَانِ:بِالحُجَّةِ والبُرهَانِ، وَالسَّيْفِ وَالسِّنَانِ. وَأَمَّا المُنْتَسِبُونَ إلى الإسلام: فَإِنَّهُمْ إِذَا قَامُوا بِهِ؛ فَلَا بُدَّأَنْ يَظهَرُوا على أَهلِ الأَديَانِ، وَإِذَا ضَيَّعُوهُ، وَاكتَفَوا بِمُجَرَّدِ الاِنتِسَابِ إِلَيه؛ لم يَنْفَعهُم ذَلِكَ! وَصَارَ إِهمَالُهُم لَهُ؛ سَبَبَ تَسلِيطِ الأَعدَاءِ عَلَيهِم!).

Islam rises and is not surpassed. Therefore, anyone with intellect and fairness must choose Islam over other religions. Allah says, 'It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion.' (Quran, 9:33)" Al-Saadi said, "Meaning, to elevate it above all other religions through argument, proof, sword, and spear. As for those who merely affiliate themselves with Islam, if they uphold it, they will inevitably manifest it to the followers of other religions. However, if they neglect and are content with mere affiliation, it will not benefit them, and their neglect will become the cause for the enemies to prevail over them.."

وَمَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِلْحَقِّ، وَلَمْ يَتَكَبَّرْ على الخَلْقِ: أَعْلَى اللهُ شَأْنَهُ، وَرَفَعَ قَدْرَهُ! قال ﷺ: (مَا تَوَاضَعَ أَحَدٌ لِله؛ إِلا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ).

And whoever humbles themselves for the truth and does not arrogate themselves over others, Allah elevates their status and raises their rank." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺsaid, "No one humbles themselves for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises their status."

 

وكَلِمَةُ التَّوْحِيدِ: عِلْمًا وعَمَلاً؛ تَعْلُو بِصَاحِبِهَا، وَتُنْقِذُهُ مِنَ السُّقُوطِ في حُفْرَةِ الكُفْرِ! قال تعالى: ﴿وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَى وَكَلِمَةُ اللهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا﴾.

قال الشوكاني: (﴿وَكَلِمَةُ اللهِ﴾: هِيَ كَلِمَةُ التَّوْحِيدِ، وَالدَّعْوَةِ إِلَى الإِسْلَام).

The word of monotheism, in knowledge and practice, elevates its adherent and rescues them from falling into the pit of disbelief. Allah says, 'And He has made the word of those who disbelieve the lowest, while the word of Allah, that is the highest.' (Quran, 9:40)" Al-Shawkani commented, "The word of Allah' refers to the word of monotheism and the call to Islam."

 

أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِي هَذَا، وَاسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ؛ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيم

 

 

 

 

 

 

الخُطْبَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ

الحَمْدُ للهِ عَلَى إِحْسَانِهِ، والشُّكْرُ لَهُ عَلَى تَوْفِيْقِهِ وَامْتِنَانِه، وَأَشْهَدُ أَلَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُه.

أَمَّا بَعْدُ: حِيْنَمَا يَتَخَلَّى الإِنسَانُ، عَنْ ثَوَابِتِ الإِيمَانِ، وَيَنْحَرِف عَن فِطرَةِ الرَّحمَن؛ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْحَطُّ في السُّفُوْلِوَالهَوَانِ! قال تعالى: ﴿لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنْسانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ* ثُمَّرَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ* إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَات﴾.

Afterwards, when a person forsakes the foundations of faith and deviates from the natural disposition of the Most Merciful, they descend into humiliation and degradation. Allah says, 'We have certainly created man in the best of stature; then We return him to the lowest of the low, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds.' (Quran, 95:4-6)"

 

وَمَنْ أَرَادَ العُلُوَّ بِمَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ؛ فَلَا يَزِيْدُهُ ذَلِكَ إلَّا سُفُولًا! وَلَمَّا عَلَا فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الأَرْضِ؛ أَخَذَهُ اللهُ بِأَيْسَرِ الأَسْبَابِ، وَأَلْطَفِ المَخْلُوْقَات! قال تعالى: ﴿وَنَادَى فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهذِهِ الْأَنْهارُ تَجْرِي﴾. قال ابنُ عُثَيْمِيْنَ: (فَأَغْرَقَهُ اللهُ بِالمَاءِ الَّذِي كانَ يَفْتَخِرُ بِهِ!). ﴿تِلْكَ الدَّار الْآخِرَة نَجْعَلهَا للَّذِيْنَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الأَرْض وَلَا فَسَادًا وَالْعَاقبَة لِلْمُتقين﴾.

Whoever seeks superiority through disobedience to Allah, it only increases them in degradation. When Pharaoh exalted himself in the land, Allah seized him with the easiest and gentlest means of His creations. Allah says, 'And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me?"' (Quran, 43:51). Ibn Uthaymeencommented, 'So Allah drowned him in the water with which he used to boast.' 'That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.' (Quran, 28:83)."

* اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلامَ والمُسْلِمِينَ، وأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ والمُشْرِكِيْن.

* اللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ هَمَّ المَهْمُوْمِيْنَ، وَنَفِّسْ كَرْبَ المَكْرُوْبِين.

* اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ، وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ، الأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالأَمْوَاتِ ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيِنَ.

* عِبَادَ الله: ﴿إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ﴾.

* فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ، وَاشْكُرُوْهُ على نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ ﴿وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ﴾.
